It is well built, the mount holds well, and i didnt have to rip out the factory stereo, so this worked out well.

I had Carpuride and it struggled to work in my car. Then it just stopped working. I was really surprise by its failure. I bought this one with low expectations. Right from the start it worked just like it said it would. My only problem is I still can not get the mirror function to work. Im assuming its me. Another issue is how to keep it in place. The Carpuride was difficult to stay in place. I tried all the different stick on devices and they all failed. The resolution was to make something up with magnets and VELCRO. The new one same problem but its lighter and smaller allowing me to place it in a more suitable location. The weight of the monitor is supported by the dashboard or its light enough I can place it on a rotating magnet. My son has CarPlay built in and its a luxury but my portable monitor is a great substitute for the real thing. I give it two thumbs up for ease of use, reliability and price. Once I figure out the mirror function it will be the best item Ive ever bought for a car.

This product works just as advertised. Was easy to install, and my daughter really likes the ability to use Car Play in her older (2001) vehicle. Only annoying feature is the loud BEEP at startup. One item to be careful with. Unit was mounted to dash using adhesive. The adhesive came loose after about 6 months. Had to re-mount with new double sided stick tape. Also, important to semi-regularly tighten the thumbscrews that hold the mounting arm together.

The system works as advertised. But like with all tech products, the instructions are deficient.
